Matt Baker serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Oregon Pacific Bank, bringing more than 20 years of leadership experience in community banking across Oregon.
Matt’s career spans financial institutions ranging in size from $200 million to more than $2 billion in assets. He has held a variety of roles throughout his career, including Teller, Treasury Analyst, Controller, and most recently served for more than a decade as Chief Financial Officer of a $650 million community bank. In those roles, he has partnered closely with executives and boards of directors, providing financial leadership across multiple interest rate and credit cycles.
Known for his collaborative approach, Matt has extensive experience supporting enterprise financial strategy, capital planning, and balance‑sheet management. He is particularly skilled at translating complex financial and risk information into clear, decision‑ready insights that support sound decision‑making and long‑term stability.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from Oregon State University and is an Honors Graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School. He serves on the Executive Board of Synergy by Association, chaired the Oregon Bankers Association Finance & Accounting Roundtable, and served as an Executive Board Member of the McMinnville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and staying active, including playing pickleball together.
